hello everybody
we arrived in south est of india, puducherry to be exact, at 6 am in the night of saturday to sunday.
this is for me a real shock, but in a good way, everything is new, the smells, the poeple we see or meet, the picture of life we see, nothing looks like what i've seen before.
Puducherry is incredible, it's an old french colonial town so there is still some french colonial architectures, most of the streets are written in french and we can still see french inscription on the facilities and administatives building, but the indians really took over ther city again .
all this create a lovely mixture of culture and poeple, there is still a lot of foreigner, manly french who lives here .
we have seen the bikes : Tornado for mine, a black Enfield who doesnt look like it but i am sure by the sound just want to heat the road, and Josephine, a lovely white creme one, for Florent's one ; and give theme to the mecanicien for the last work on theme . I do say theme beacause we going to have to now each other, drivers and motobykes but also be gentle and talk to theme if we want to make this trip successfully .
we should leave Puducherry on sunday but we are not sure if the bykes are goimg to be ready, after all, we are in India were everything can take two hours or two month, but we are optimistic .
in the meen time, we are going to discover the city and the way of driving in India, witch is a crazy ballet of buses, cars, bykes, and walkers avoiding everybody at the last minute we a lot of horns and no laws a all, but I'm sure ther is a logic into that to be discovered and understood, something I hope to do before the big journey .
